Aluminium flat bar 50×2 mm made from EN AW-6060 T6/T66 alloy (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38) is a versatile flat profile intended for support structures, finishing applications, frames and repair work. Thanks to the use of aluminium with high corrosion resistance and low self-weight, the flat bar performs well in photovoltaic installations as well as general assembly work. The raw (non-anodised) surface allows further processing — anodising, powder coating or leaving in its natural state.

Technical specification

Dimensional drawing of aluminium flat bar cross-section — A (width) × T (thickness)
Dimensional drawing of aluminium flat bar cross-section — A (width) × T (thickness)
  • Cross-section: flat bar (flat profile)
  • Width (A): 50 mm
  • Thickness (T): 2 mm
  • Length: 2000 mm
  • Material: aluminium EN AW-6060 T6/T66 (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38)
  • Surface: raw (non-anodised)
  • Weight (2 m): 0.54 kg (0.27 kg/m)

Benefits for the installer

  • Low weight — just 0.27 kg/m makes transport and installation at height easier
  • Corrosion resistance — aluminium requires no additional corrosion protection under typical atmospheric conditions
  • Easy to process — the profile can be cut, drilled and bent using standard workshop tools
  • Versatile application — ideal for building sub-structures, mounting frames, finishing elements and reinforcements
