Aluminium flat bar 80×10 mm made from EN AW-6060 T64 alloy (AlMgSi0.5) is a versatile flat profile with a length of 2000 mm, designed for support structures, mounting frames, finishing and repairs in photovoltaic and construction installations. Thanks to the lightweight nature of aluminium and its high corrosion resistance, it eliminates the need for additional corrosion protection, resulting in lower operating costs and faster on-site installation.

The EN AW-6060 alloy in the T64 temper offers excellent machinability — the profile can be easily cut, drilled and milled on site without specialist tooling. The mill finish (non-anodised) surface allows straightforward welding and optional anodising or painting in accordance with the requirements of a specific project.

Technical Specification

  • Section type: flat bar (flat profile)
  • Width (A): 80 mm
  • Thickness (T): 10 mm
  • Length: 2000 mm
  • Material: aluminium EN AW-6060 T64 (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38)
  • Surface finish: mill finish (non-anodised)
  • Weight (2 m): approx. 4.40 kg (2.2 kg/m)

Applications

The 80×10 mm aluminium flat bar is suitable wherever a lightweight yet rigid flat element is required. Installation companies use it, among other things, as:

  • Structural support elements and mounting frames for photovoltaic panels
  • Finishing and cover strips in façade installations
  • Reinforcements and connectors in aluminium structures
  • Spacer pads and repair components on rooftops or ground-mounted systems

The low self-weight (2.2 kg/m) facilitates transport and handling at height, which is particularly important when installing rooftop systems. Aluminium's resistance to atmospheric corrosion ensures long-term durability without the need for maintenance.
