Aluminium flat bar 40×4 mm EN AW-6060 T64, length 2000 mm
Aluminium flat bar 40×4 mm is a versatile flat profile made from EN AW-6060 T64 alloy (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38) with a length of 2000 mm. Thanks to its low weight of just 0.86 kg per 2-metre length, it is convenient to transport and install, whilst providing high rigidity and the natural corrosion resistance characteristic of 6xxx series aluminium alloys.
The profile in the T64 heat treatment condition (partially artificially aged) combines good mechanical strength with ease of further processing — cutting, drilling and bending. The raw (non-anodised) surface allows direct powder coating, anodising or leaving in its natural state for interior applications.
Applications
The 40×4 aluminium flat bar is suitable wherever a lightweight yet strong structural element with a flat cross-section is required. It is used in the construction of frames and support structures, façade and interior finishes, cover and protective elements, as well as in repairs and modifications of existing structures. In the photovoltaic sector, it can serve as a reinforcing or spacer element in mounting substructures.
