Description

Aluminium Flat Bar EN AW-6060 T6/T66 – 50×20 mm, Length 2000 mm

Aluminium flat bar 50×20 mm – raw flat profile
Aluminium flat bar 50×20 mm – raw flat profile

Aluminium flat bar 50×20 mm in alloy EN AW-6060 T6/T66 (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38) is a versatile flat profile designed for load-bearing structures, mounting frames, finishing elements, and repairs. Combining the lightweight nature of aluminium with the high rigidity of a rectangular cross-section, the flat bar is ideal wherever corrosion resistance and ease of mechanical processing are essential — without the need for additional surface protection.

The profile is supplied in lengths of 2000 mm with a raw (non-anodised) surface, ready for cutting, drilling, and welding. The low self-weight — just 5.40 kg per 2 m section — facilitates transport and on-site installation.

Technical Specification

  • Cross-section type: flat bar (flat profile)
  • Width (A): 50 mm
  • Thickness (T): 20 mm
  • Length: 2000 mm
  • Material: aluminium EN AW-6060 T6/T66 (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38)
  • Surface: raw (non-anodised)
  • Weight per 2 m section: 5.40 kg (linear density 2.70 kg/m)

Applications

  • Support structures and mounting frames for photovoltaic installations
  • Finishing elements for facades, balustrades, and enclosures
  • Reinforcements and connectors in aluminium structures
  • Repairs and general workshop work

The EN AW-6060 alloy in the T6/T66 temper provides good mechanical strength while retaining sufficient ductility for bending and forming. Aluminium from this series is easy to machine, weld using TIG/MIG methods, and anodise — offering complete flexibility for further processing during installation.
