Description
Ω-type earthing plate made of A2 stainless steel for photovoltaic modules

Ω-type earthing plate is an equipotential bonding component in photovoltaic installations, responsible for equalising potentials between PV module frames, mounting rails and the supporting structure. Made of A2 stainless steel (1.4301, grade 304), it provides lasting corrosion resistance in all weather conditions. The characteristic Ω profile, together with sharp teeth on the contact surface, allows piercing the anodised aluminium layer covering the module frames — this layer acts as an insulator, and the teeth reach directly to the aluminium beneath it, ensuring a solid and durable electrical connection. As a result, the plate ensures galvanic continuity throughout the installation, which is essential for the proper operation of the lightning and earthing protection system.
Key advantages for the installer
- Sharp teeth pierce the anodised layer of PV module frames, ensuring reliable electrical contact without the need for additional surface preparation
- Austenitic A2 stainless steel (1.4301) is non-magnetic, flexible and stress-resistant — guaranteeing years of operation without connection degradation
- Compact dimensions of 40×42×6 mm and low weight make installation easier, even in hard-to-reach parts of the structure
- The Ω-type profile ensures stable positioning on the mounting rail and firm pressure against the module frame
- Suitable for all environmental conditions thanks to the exceptional corrosion resistance of the nickel-alloyed steel
