Rivet nuts: A2 stainless threads for thin-walled materials
Our rivet nuts create permanent internal threads in thin-walled materials, with access to one side only. The range covers open-end A2 stainless steel types with a small countersunk head and a knurled shank, in sizes M4 to M8. They suit installers and fabricators who need a corrosion-resistant, low-profile threaded fixing point.
What you will find in this category
- M4×10 rivet nut: head Ø7 mm, round knurled shank Ø4 mm, A2 stainless steel, open end.
- M5×11.5 countersunk blind rivet nut: outer diameter 8 mm, flange 6.9 mm, knurled shank.
- M6×14 rivet nut: mounting hole Ø10 mm, flange 8.9 mm, small countersunk head.
- M8×15.5 tapered blind rivet nut: flange Ø10.9 mm, mounting hole 12 mm, thread length 7.5 mm.
How to choose
- Thread size: choose M4, M5, M6 or M8 to match the screw or bolt you will fit into the nut.
- Material: all products are A2 stainless steel, suited to applications that need corrosion resistance.
- Mounting hole: check the hole diameter for your size, for example 10 mm for M6 and 12 mm for M8.
- Grip range: it is 0.5–2.5 mm or 0.5–3.0 mm depending on the product. Compare it with the thickness of your base material.
- Pack size: every product is supplied in packs of 250 pcs.
Typical applications
Open-end rivet nuts form a durable thread in thin-walled materials without access to the rear of the component. The knurled shank stops the nut turning in the hole. The small countersunk head sits almost flush with the surface, which helps where a flat head side is required.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need access to the back of the workpiece?
No. These open-end rivet nuts install from one side, so rear access to the component is not required.
How do I stop the rivet nut spinning in the hole?
The knurled shank prevents the rivet nut from turning in the mounting hole. This gives secure, repeatable seating after setting.
Will the head stand proud of the surface?
The small countersunk head allows an almost flush installation. The nut does not protrude much above the surface of the base material.
