Surge arrester type 1+2 (B+C) 3P+N 12.5kA 1.5kV iPRD1-12.5r-T12-3N A9L16482 by SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC is a device designed to protect electrical installations against surges resulting from lightning and transmission network failures.
Its purpose is to minimise the flow time and limit the frequency of the short-circuit current, thus protecting the network components. The iPRD1 surge arresters allow quick replacement of varistor element cartridges and have an optical fault indicator (green/red) on the front of the unit.
