Simtec Surge Protection Device PV DC Type 1+2 (Class B+C) 1000V 3P 20kA 4.5kV
Varistor surge protection device for photovoltaic installations SV B+C 3P PV T1 T2 1000V DC SIMTEC 85036002 SIMET, also known as a lightning arrester, is a device designed to protect photovoltaic systems against the effects of overvoltages.
Constructed using varistors and spark gaps, this device is designed to reduce dangerous voltage spikes that may occur as a result of direct lightning strikes or their close passage. In a power supply system, for complete surge protection, it is necessary to use a three-stage hierarchy of surge protective devices (type 1, 2, 3, i.e. B, C, D respectively), installed sequentially. The SV B+C 3P arrester is specially adapted for use in photovoltaic installations operating at voltages up to 1000 V DC, on the direct current side.
