SIMET SIMTEC SM20C 4P – Surge Arrester Type 2 (C) 20kA 1.5kV
SIMET SIMTEC SM20C 4P is a four-pole Class C (Type 2) surge arrester, designed to protect electrical installations in TN networks against lightning and switching overvoltages. The device provides a nominal discharge current of 20 kA and a voltage protection level below 1.2 kV, effectively protecting end equipment — from computer and telecommunications equipment to building automation devices. The modular construction with replaceable cartridges allows quick replacement of a damaged element without dismantling the entire device, which shortens service time and reduces installation maintenance costs. The arrester does not require the use of coordination inductors, which simplifies the switchboard layout. Installation is carried out on a 35 mm rail in accordance with EN 60715 — standard clips allow installation within seconds. Green inspection windows on each module allow instant visual verification of the arrester's condition without the use of measuring instruments.
