Strap hinge pin (spindle) for embedding manufactured by PSG — component designed for mounting strap hinges in swing gates. The spindle is embedded in a masonry or concrete post, and the strap hinge arm is placed onto the protruding pin. The construction with flat base and tongue ensures durable and stable embedding in mortar or concrete, eliminating the risk of pin rotation in the post.
The pin is dedicated for use in fencing systems and swing gates — both metal and wooden. Thanks to the steel construction and appropriately selected spindle diameter FI 14 mm, the element transfers loads typical for standard residential gates. Application and installation
The pin is installed by embedding the flat base with tongue into the gate post — the element should be set in mortar or cast in concrete so that only the cylindrical spindle protrudes outside. The tongue (bent end of the base) prevents rotation of the pin in the wall and increases anchoring strength. After the mortar has hardened, the strap hinge arm is placed onto the spindle, creating a complete pivot point for the gate leaf.
