High-voltage cable 35 mm² with a copper conductor is a certified solution for lightning current discharge in locations where the required isolation distance cannot be maintained. Thanks to its robust cross-linked polyethylene insulation, the cable safely carries impulse current even in direct proximity to electrical installations and metallic building components.
Verified performance – the cable holds the SEP-BBJ certificate confirming resistance to a 150 kA current impulse and a 200 kV voltage impulse. These parameters allow its use in Lightning Protection Class I, the most demanding category of lightning protection installations.
When to use it? A high-voltage cable is essential wherever the lightning current discharge route runs near electrical installations, metal pipes, ventilation ducts, or other conductive elements, and maintaining the standard isolation distance is not possible. The insulation reduces the required separation distance to just 750 mm, compared to the standard values applicable to uninsulated conductors.
Cable construction consists of a stranded copper conductor with a cross-section of 35 mm², a cross-linked polyethylene insulation layer, and an outer protective sheath. The total outer diameter is 18.5 mm, making it straightforward to route the cable through existing cable runs and to fit dedicated connection heads.
