Gerda GD 1000 is a hydraulic door closer designed for installation in residential buildings and commercial premises — offices, educational facilities, shops and communication routes. Thanks to the adjustable closing force EN 2/3/4, it handles doors weighing up to 80 kg and with a leaf width of up to 1100 mm, making it suitable for the vast majority of standard door openings found on building sites.
The device stands out with over 3 hours of fire resistance, confirmed by testing, and certification in accordance with the EN 1154 standard. Durability class 8 (the highest in this standard) guarantees hundreds of thousands of operating cycles — translating into trouble-free use even in high-traffic buildings.
Adjustment and precision of operation
Two adjustment screws allow independent setting of the closing speed within the angle range of 15°–180° and the final latching force within the angle range of 0°–15°. This allows the installer to precisely adjust the operation of the door closer to the specifics of particular doors — from light internal leaves to heavy entrance doors. The maximum opening angle is 180°.
Wide operating conditions
The operating temperature range from -40°C to +45°C means the door closer can be installed on both internal and external doors exposed to frost or heat — without risk of losing the smooth operation of the hydraulic mechanism.

The mounting hole spacing of the body is 202 × 19 mm, and the distance from the left-hand holes to the axis of the arm bracket is 102.5 mm. The vertical distance from the top edge of the body to the bottom edge of the arm is 28 mm, while the distance from the bottom edge of the arm to the axis of the bracket mounting holes is 22 mm.
