What is corten steel?
Corten steel is a special grade of low-alloy steel that, when exposed to atmospheric conditions, develops a characteristic rust-coloured patina. This layer of oxides is not only visually striking but, above all, functions as anti-corrosion protection — forming a natural barrier that shields the core material from further corrosion. As a result, the decoration requires no painting, varnishing or maintenance.
Applications
This decoration is ideal wherever you wish to add a natural character to your garden — in perennial borders, among ornamental grasses, in planters on a terrace or balcony, and even on an allotment.
