Description
Garden Jewellery Stake – Rusty Hummingbird XL, Corten Steel Garden Decoration 22×102 cm
Rusty Hummingbird Garden Jewellery is a striking garden decoration crafted from 2 mm corten steel, which gradually develops a beautiful decorative patina in rich rusty tones. The hummingbird — one of the most fascinating birds in the world — has been reproduced with careful attention to detail. Its openwork wings and tail lend the figure a sense of lightness and elegance, while the rusty colour harmonises perfectly with the greenery of a garden.
The ornament works perfectly as a bold design feature in a garden, on a terrace, balcony, or among flower beds. Thanks to its foldable rod, no additional installation is required — simply push it into the ground and enjoy a stunning decoration all year round, regardless of the season or weather conditions.
Corten Steel — Durability Without Maintenance
Corten steel is a material that requires no additional protection or maintenance. The layer of oxides (patina) that forms on the surface acts simultaneously as a decorative element and a natural barrier against further corrosion. The coating is resistant to scratches and weather conditions, ensuring the decoration retains its form for years. The corrosion process develops individually — the final colour and surface texture may vary depending on the surrounding conditions, making each piece unique. A specialist preparation can be applied to accelerate the patina effect.
Two-Part Rod — Two Mounting Heights
The hummingbird is mounted on a foldable rod with a diameter of 6 mm, consisting of two sections of 70 cm each, joined by a sliding sleeve. This allows the decoration to be set at two heights:
- Height without extension: 80 cm — ideal for low flower beds, planters, and balconies
- Height with extension: approx. 133 cm — perfect for tall flower borders and wildflower meadows
Installation is effortlessly simple — just push the rod into the ground. No drilling, rawlplugs, or additional tools are required.
