Earthing washer – PV contact plate made of stainless steel 40×40 mm

The earthing washer – contact plate is an essential component of equipotential bonding connections in photovoltaic installations. It ensures galvanic continuity between the PV module frames and the mounting structure, enabling effective equalisation of electrical potentials. Eight sharp conical prongs arranged symmetrically on the surface of the plate pierce the thin anodised aluminium layer covering the panel frames — a layer that acts as an insulator and does not conduct electrical charge. This allows the washer to reach directly the metallic aluminium layer beneath, creating a solid and durable electrical connection. The plate is made of 1.4301 stainless steel (austenitic grade A2/304), guaranteeing exceptional corrosion resistance and many years of uninterrupted use in all weather conditions. The open channel shape with two bent wings makes it easy to position on the mounting profile and stabilises the element before the screw is tightened.
