The PV DC Type 1+2 (B+C) 1100V 3P 20kA 3.8kV surge protection device ETITEC M 1100/12.5 Y 002440511 by ETI, also known as a lightning arrester, is a device designed to protect electrical installations against the adverse effects of atmospheric discharges and overvoltages that may occur during switching on or off of an unloaded overhead line.
Lightning arresters are classified into three categories: Class B, providing protection against direct and close lightning strikes, Class C, protecting against switching overvoltages, and Class D, which offers additional protection for exceptionally sensitive electrical equipment.
