PV DC Surge Protective Device Type 1+2 (B+C) 1100V 3P 65kA 3.8kV ETITEC EM T12 PV 1100/6.25 Y 002440580 by ETI is specifically designed to protect photovoltaic installations, including PV modules, against both switching overvoltages and those resulting from indirect or direct lightning strikes.
It is particularly useful in buildings equipped with external lightning protection systems. The internal construction of the surge arrester includes two varistors, each protected by a thermal element - a disconnector, which enhances operational safety.
The surge arrester is also equipped with optical fault indication: a colour change of the indicator from green to red signals the need to replace the varistor cartridge, enabling quick and effective response in case of failure.
