Description
Sectional Earth Rod with Morse Taper Lock Ø16×1500 mm – Hot-Dip Galvanised Steel
Sectional earth rod Ø16×1500 mm is a proven solution for installing vertical earth electrodes in lightning protection and earthing systems. Thanks to the Morse taper lock, joining successive rods is quick and requires no additional connectors — a single push is all it takes to achieve a secure mechanical and electrical connection.

How does the Morse taper lock work? The self-locking taper allows successive earth rod sections to be joined using a simple push-fit method. Crucially, the uniform diameter along the entire length enables earth resistance measurement to be carried out during driving. With threaded-coupler earth rods, such measurement is not possible, meaning an additional site visit is required after driving is complete.
Application: the earth rod is used to conduct and dissipate lightning current into the ground. Rods are driven until the required earth resistance value is achieved, giving full control over the quality of the completed earth electrode.

The product has been tested in accordance with standard EN 62561-2, in class H2 for lightning impulse current 200 kA, as confirmed by BBJ-SEP testing. This gives you confidence that the earth rod meets the highest requirements for lightning protection.
