Perforated plate flat connector PP 2 40x100x2.0
Description
Perforated Plate 40×100×2.0 mm – Galvanised Steel Connector
Perforated plate 40×100 mm is a versatile timber connector designed for both simple and complex structural joints. Its evenly spaced fixing holes allow flexible positioning to suit the requirements of any given project — from roof trusses to bespoke joints in timber frame construction.

Benefits for the installer
Manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel sheet, the plate provides effective corrosion protection even in demanding weather conditions. CE marking confirms compliance with European construction standards, making it straightforward to use in professional projects where technical documentation is required. The universal perforation pattern allows the connector to join various timber species, as well as timber to concrete and other structural materials — with no need for individual drilling.
- Easy and fast installation — pre-punched holes eliminate drilling
- Reduced material waste
- High rigidity and joint stability
- Versatility — one connector, multiple configurations

Application and installation

Perforated plates are most commonly used in roof truss assembly, where they provide a durable and stable connection between rafter members, posts and struts. They are equally well suited wherever a fast, repeatable installation of flat connectors is required — from roof structures to pergolas, carports and outbuildings. Fixing is carried out using ring shank nails with a diameter of ø4 mm, which ensure secure embedment in timber and full utilisation of the connector's declared load capacity.

Durability and corrosion resistance
The Z275 zinc coating (275 g/m² of zinc) applied by the hot-dip galvanising process represents one of the most effective methods of protecting steel against corrosion in construction. As a result, the plate retains its full mechanical properties throughout years of service — including in the elevated humidity conditions typical of roof structures. DX51D steel provides the appropriate ductility and sheet strength, allowing the connector to be precisely fitted to structural members.

The universal perforation pattern with evenly distributed holes allows the plate to be used in many joint configurations — both symmetrical and offset. The compact 40×100 mm format with a thickness of 2.0 mm makes the connector strong enough for typical carpentry applications, while remaining easy to store and transport even in large quantities.
