Galvanised steel wire rope Ø13.0 mm in 6×37 construction is the most flexible of the classic wire ropes — ideal wherever easy running over pulleys and repeated bending are required. Six strands of thirty-seven wires each provide a high number of contact points, resulting in exceptional flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The rope is fitted with a fibre core (FC), which further increases flexibility and acts as a lubricant reservoir, supporting internal maintenance.
The wires are made in tensile strength grade 1770 N/mm², and the rope surface is protected against corrosion with a zinc (Zn) coating. This ensures the product maintains high durability even in outdoor conditions exposed to moisture and changing weather conditions. Manufactured in the European Union.
6×37 construction and cross-section
The 6×37 construction means the rope consists of six strands, each containing 37 wires, arranged around a central fibre core (FC). This design provides a significantly greater number of thin wires compared to 6×19 or 6×7 constructions, which directly translates into better flexibility and easier running over pulleys with smaller diameters. This construction is dedicated to dynamic applications where the rope is repeatedly bent and wound.
