The galvanised steel wire rope with a diameter of 12.0 mm in a 6×37 construction is the most flexible of the classic steel wire ropes. Thanks to six strands, each made up of thirty-seven thin wires, it stands out for its exceptional flexibility and ease of routing over pulleys — making it the optimal choice wherever installation requires small bending radii and repeated winding of the rope on drums or pulleys.
The wires, made in strength grade 1770 N/mm², provide high load capacity, while the zinc (Zn) coating effectively protects the rope against corrosion, extending its service life even in demanding weather conditions. The fibre core (FC) further increases the flexibility of the entire construction and provides internal lubrication of the wires.
6×37 rope construction
The 6×37 construction means 6 strands, each consisting of 37 wires, wound around a central fibre core (FC). The large number of thin wires in each strand is key to high flexibility — the rope easily coils onto winch drums and passes freely through pulley systems. The dark area in the centre of the cross-section is the fibre core, which acts as a cushion and a lubricant reservoir.

The rope is sold by the running metre — the ordered length is supplied in a single piece. The rope is factory-wound on a 50 m reel; ordering 50 m will get you a complete, originally packaged reel.
